Hi,
Well it seems like it has been a busy month but also a lot of fun. Now it is July so on to lots more fun!
I hope everyone was able to download the special article about the Pinewood Derby – it was great! For those that don’t know, Baldwin Lane Elementary School was the winner of our perpetual school trophy. I would like to thank Carole & John Renner for the special effort & time to publish the article.
We finally had our second annual car rally or history lesson around the lake. We had a very good turnout, & even had some new perspective members join in the fun! As usual the winner was not without question(!!), but congrats to the winners Cliff & Lynn Fowler for the best time & highest score. After the rally we all went over to Village Pizza to celebrate & discuss the event.
While on the subject of car rally's & shows, I would like to remind everyone that they should be receiving their Fun Run work sheets in the mail. Please complete & return them to Bud so he can confirm the assignments. This, as you all know, is our gift to the community & car buffs all over the area. We want to make it the best ever held, & it will take everyones help!
Hey, as I mentioned previously, it’s July, & you all know that means “PARTY TIME” (beach party to be exact)!! We will be having our annual beach party at the Conklins’ house on July 11, starting at noon. Please bring your own beach chairs. We will be having our general meeting after food & drinks!
I would like to encourage a good turnout for a couple of car shows this month: July 17th in San Bernardino at Perris Hill Park from 8am to 3pm, & July 24th in Crestline at Lake Gregory, from 8am to 3pm, sponsored by the VFW. Call & we will set up a caravan to these shows.
CHECK THAT DIP STICK!!!!

Bill Downs thought Russ Greek built the coolest car in the Unlimited Class!
At the June General Meeting, Bill presented Russ with a trophy for “Best of Show” in the Cheaters Unlimited Class!

Road Rally (June 2010)
We all gathered at the Pac on Sunday the 27th for the second annual Road Rally. Took a cruise around the lake and through lots of neighborhoods. We ended up at Village Pizza for a delicious dinner!
The Rally was fun, Cliff (leadfoot) and Lynn Fowler came in first with the shortest time! John and Carole Renner came in last place and were rewarded with gift cards from McDonalds!
As you can see, John Renner, Dan Percifull and John Cantrell are enjoying their pizza and brew!
Thanks Ken, Village Pizza was delicious as always!
