Here it is March already and there is really a sun up there in the sky. Hope everyone has enough snow, I know it won’t bother me if we don’t get anymore at least till what we have melts. March will start our big activities with our trip down to the Auto Driving Museum. Our Inland coach will be leaving Big Bear from the Rite Aid parking lot at 9:00 A.M. on March 24th. We will be having our lunch at a lovely park (with no snow) in the city of El Segundo and will be returning on or about 3:30 to arrive back in Big Bear about 6:00 P.M. If you have any friends that you would like to invite please bring them, we have about 40 seats still left to fill. Please call Pearl and have them added to the list and for only $50.00 per person, this will be a fun trip, with food and drink in route. Don’t forget to contact Pearl Richey to confirm your reservations.
Fun Run Apps were mailed out starting on February 18th. At the next board meeting we will know if we beat our record of 270 returns in 7 days. As you are reading this Cal Roe is working with our Art people on final touches of the new design for our Fun Run. I truly believe you are going to be surprised, amazed and proud of the finished design. Speaking of car shows don’t forget the Citi Bank show in May. I'm sure that Pearl will be looking for volunteers to help with our concession stand and bake sale so don’t be bashful, it’s time to have fun. Now that we get into the Citi Bank Show, I should bring up our Pinewood Derby Contest that we do with the 5th graders at local schools. This is a very rewarding project for both the kids and us older folk. We will be looking for volunteers to go to the schools and set up the tract for the races, so if you are interested, mark the dates of May 19, 20 and 21st to participate. It is really a lot of fun!
2010 rosters will be coming out soon, so if changes need to be made contact Janet Dupre, and don’t forget to get your dues in if you haven’t already. See ya!

Valentine's Dinner (2/10/2010)

Special Notice:
BBLACC has lost two members this year. Our condolences go out to the families of Eve Johnson, who passed away on January 16, 2010; and Jean Morgan, who passed away on February 3, 2010. They will both be missed.
